The imperative to provide and sustain high quality surgical services in rural Canada

Rural surgery in Canada is a topic of growing concern for many. The inaugural Rural Surgery Summit hosted by the Canadian Association of General Surgeons will address important topics around improving access to high quality surgical care for Canadians in rural Canada
The inaugural Rural Summit was held on September 14th 2017 in Victoria, BC as a precursor to the Canadian Surgery Forum.

Here many stakeholders came together to discuss important issues surrounding the delivery and access to high quality rural surgical care.
