Women in Surgery Committee Mentorship Program

The CAGS Women in Surgery Committee Mentorship Program offers early-career female surgeons and senior residents the opportunity to develop a mentorship relationship with an established surgeon.

Objective

The objective of the Mentorship Program is to promote career-related and personal growth of young female surgeons through a one-year mentorship starting from CAGS CSF 2019.

The Program

We will pair up to 20 mentees-mentor matches. Ideally, both individuals should attend CAGS CSF 2019 in Montreal (September 5-7th, 2019). *If that is not possible, we can arrange a phone call to connect.

Areas of Mentorship:
• Research
• Work-life balance
• Obtaining fellowship and/or employment
• Transition to practice
• Clinical practice development
• Career development
• Leadership development

If you would like to be considered for our next mentorship session, please email cags@cags-accg.ca.
