Scalpels and Sun: General Surgery Essentials Away
The Canadian Association of General Surgeons has partnered with CME Away to offer members an exciting new opportunity to combine learning with leisure.
Join us at an all-inclusive resort in Costa Mujeres, Mexico, January 23–30, 2027, for a comprehensive and engaging general surgery program.
Topics will include: acute care, breast, colorectal, endoscopy, foregut, hernias, HPB, surgical oncology, trauma, surgical leadership and quality improvement. Through a mix of updates, case-based discussions, tips and tricks, and “how I do it” sessions, participants will gain practical, practice-ready knowledge across multiple areas of surgical care.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Assess their knowledge of evidence-based and best practices in general surgery
